Get involved

You already have something to give

Money, time, equipment, skills, a useful introduction — or the means to send someone who has the time but not the airfare. Start with what you have and a volunteer will help you put it where it counts.

Not sure how to help?

Start from what you actually have

Find the line that sounds like you. Each one leads to a concrete next step.

  • I have money but not time

Fund local leadership, equipment and program costs year-round. This is the fastest and most flexible way to help.

  • I have time but not much money

Organize an equipment drive or fundraiser, help with outreach, or put a skill to work from home — coaching, translation, photography, spreadsheets.

  • I have sports equipment, or access to it

Collect clean, usable gear from your garage, team or school. We confirm the current need and arrange drop-off or collection.

  • I have a team, school, business or network

Give money

Fund the people and resources behind every project

A tax-deductible gift is the fastest way to help. Funds buy equipment we cannot source through donations, cover shipping and customs, and pay the direct costs of running clinics in host communities.

SAWB is volunteer-run — no salaries, no office overhead. Donations may pay local organizers and coaches for the year-round work that keeps programs going.

  • • Processed securely by Stripe — card or digital wallet.
  • • Emailed receipt for your records at the time of your gift.
  • • One-time gift; contact us for recurring or team-wide giving.

Give equipment

Collect or donate usable sports gear

We accept clean, usable gear that a young athlete can play with tomorrow. Volunteers travel with donated equipment and hand it to clubs, schools and coaches directly.

Most needed

  • Baseball and softball gloves, bats, balls
  • Volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls
  • Cleats, court shoes, uniforms and kits
  • Children's clothing

How to send it

  1. 1. Email or call us with what you have.
  2. 2. We confirm the current need and destination.
  3. 3. We arrange drop-off or collection with you.

Give time

Volunteer locally or travel with a project

If you have time to give, we would love to have you join one of our upcoming service projects. Our volunteer base is intentionally mixed: current and former student athletes, coaches, teachers, medical and travel professionals, and parents.

Student athletes

Run clinic stations, demonstrate skills, and train with local players. Teams travel together with their coaching staff.

Coaches & staff

Plan sessions with host coaches, lead skill blocks, and help mentor the student athletes on your roster.

Skilled volunteers

Logistics, translation, photography, medical support, fundraising and equipment collection all matter.

Give your skills

You may already have what a project needs

Projects run on ordinary abilities. If you can coach a station, speak Spanish, keep a spreadsheet straight, take good photographs, write a fundraising email or organize a room full of donated gear, there is real work here for you — from home or on the ground.

Sport & coaching

Skills instruction, session planning, officiating, strength and conditioning, athletic training.

Language & communication

Spanish and other languages for clinics, host coordination, email and translation of materials.

Behind the scenes

Logistics, inventory, fundraising, grant writing, bookkeeping, design, photography, video and social media.

Tell us what you can do

Give your network

An introduction can be worth more than a check

Athletics departments & schools

Build a service component into an existing international trip, or host an end-of-season equipment drive on campus.

Clubs & youth programs

Collect outgrown gear across your families and turn a season's leftovers into a shipment that gets used.

Businesses

Sponsor equipment purchases, shipping or travel logistics for a specific project, or match your employees' giving.

Community groups

Fundraise, perform, or run a collection event — several of our supporters started exactly this way.
